This event is very important to us as our volunteers are the backbone of our organization. Without them our 110 weekly riders would not have a place to learn from the wisdom of the horse. We have 100 volunteers who as a team contribute 200+ hours/week to help keep our riders in the saddle. EVERY ONE of our volunteers is critical to our NFTRA team. We are proud of our 12 weekly volunteer shifts lead by our instructor staff who juggle the challenges and joy of sharing therapeutic riding with our riders. Our daily volunteer teams may not get to meet volunteers on other days so that is why we are happy so many volunteers and staff took the time to join us Friday night.

Jolene Bonhomme – Started volunteering in 2011. Every Thursday we can rely on Jolene without fail. She is super dependable and takes such pride in her role here at NFTRA. She is always so kind and has a lovely calm demeanor with our horses and riders. She is a wonderful member of our team!
Cathy Lang – Cathy has been involved with NFTRA for longer than I even know. She had moved away for a while, then returned. She was ready to get back to it! Cathy it has been a pleasure getting to know you and we’re super grateful for your help. We can always count on you to keep the ship sailing!
Anne Larson – Started in 2010. Anne is a member of our Tuesday morning team; when she’s not recovering from an injury or two. She always comes to her shift with a happy can-do attitude and isn’t afraid to ask questions and soak up new information. Thank you Anne!
Dianne McQueen – What is a Wednesday without Dianne? I don’t want to know! Dianne started in 2012. She is one of the go-to members of our Wednesday volunteer team. She’s always happy to teach new volunteers the NFTRA routine and ensures everyone is safe and organized. Thank you so much Dianne!
